Birdbox

Close your eyes and try using your computer. Traditional screen readers walk blind users through pages one link at a time — slow, confusing, exhausting. Birdbox summarizes what's on screen instantly and takes voice commands in plain language.

01  Overview

Built at UC Berkeley's AI Hackathon 2026 with Jefferson Wu: an assistive tool that instantly summarizes new tab content without click-by-click navigation, and takes voice commands while the control key is held.

Accepts natural-language requests — “What are the actions I can take on this screen?” or “Put on the latest World Cup game” — turning tasks that took minutes with a screen reader into a single spoken sentence.
